Company Overview – Business Services Team Leader

Our Client are currently looking for a Business Services Team Leader to oversee their highly valued team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Business Services Team Leader Role and Responsibilities:

  • The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of a department that offers administrative support to customers requiring reactive, remedial and planned maintenance works. This will be for a range of clients but will predominantly local authority.
  • Lead and motivate a team of administrators
  • Ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Oversee and ensure all work that comes in is organised efficiently via the triage system
  • Ensure the work is being allocated correctly through the diary system
  • Ensure the work is completed within an acceptable time and move things around as and when needed to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ensure the team are regularly providing updates to customers
  • Iron out any issues in a timely manner using effective communications with all relevant parties
  • KPI reporting
  • Offer support, upskilling and training when required
  • Implement new procedures when required
  • Set performance targets
  • Manage staff holidays and sickness

Business Services Team Leader Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience within a service delivery role
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and database management
