Injection Moulding Toolmaker – Company Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality, injection moulding products is currently looking for a Toolmaker to join their team on a full-time basis. They serve a diverse range of industries including: Automotive, Aerospace, and FMCG.
This Company are continuing to grow at an impressive rate due to their excellent reputation and trusted expertise in their field.
Injection Moulding Toolmaker – Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare moulding tools to a high standard, ensuring readiness for production.
Manufacture new tooling according to engineering drawings, meeting project timing plans.
Work with setters to address and resolve any issues related to the mould tool.
Investigate tooling issues to determine root causes, and provide feedback to the design department and management for future improvements.
Work with high precision, adhering to tight tolerances in tooling processes.
Maintain tooling according to required quality and industry standards.
Perform proactive maintenance on moulding tools returned from production, logging maintenance activities in the system.
Ensure the working area is clean and organised, adhering to 5S workplace practices.
Injection Moulding Toolmaker – Skills & Experience
Completed apprenticeship in toolmaking.
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Toolmaking, Tool and Die Maintenance).
High level of experience in plastic injection mould-making, supporting production tooling, including breakdowns and Total Productive Maintenance activities.
Manual machining, including experience with milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
Desirable:
MIG/TIG welding experience.
EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
IOSH training.
Six Sigma training.
5S workplace organisation training.
