3 Things you should be doing on your lunch break

Lunch breaks are often under thought. An hour to eat some food, complete all of your necessary tasks and get yourself ready for an afternoon back at the grind. But if lunch breaks are used right, they can actually be very beneficial to your workday. These are some of our favorite lunchtime rituals here at Get Staff that we believe can be a huge benefit to Your workday.

Refresh your desk

Although you don’t want to spend your whole lunch break cleaning, it is a good idea to spend 5 minutes clearing up your workspace. The reason for this is because it is a proven fact that working in a tidy environment can make you feel much more productive and help you collect your thoughts while working.

Give your eyes a rest

It’s a known fact that staring at a computer screen for too long will undoubtedly make you feel tired or even give you a headache, so on your lunch break, it is important to give those eyes a rest and take a break from the computer screen.

Take a walk

Sitting at your desk for too long each day without stretching your legs once in a while can have a negative impact on your health, so it is important to go outside and get some fresh air and give yourself some exercise. Taking a walk is an excellent way to refresh your mind and thoughts before starting the second half of your hard-working day, it even releases endorphins which triggers feelings of happiness within your brain.
